Canada’s development pattern post-WWII has heavily relied on automobile use. Due to harms associated with automobile use, alternative transportation approaches are required to protect the environment, improve human health and alleviate congestions. For this reason, Canada's federal government must invest in alternative transportation options, such as public transit to meet the challenges ahead.
