David Whitmer, who was one of the Three Witnesses to the Book of Mormon, wrote about how Martin Harris, another of the Three Witnesses, was having problems selling part of his farm to fund the printing of the Book of Mormon. Hyrum Smith and others grew impatient. Hyrum suggests that Martin Harris should not get any profits from the Book of Mormon. He also suggests they sell the copyright in Canada. Mormon prophet Joseph Smith received revelation through his seerstone in a hat that Oliver Cowdery and Hiram Page should go to Canada to try and sell the copyright of the Book of Mormon for considerable money. They fail. They ask Joseph how could he receive a false revelation. Joseph asked the stone in his hat again and receives another revelation that some revelations are from God, some are from man, and some are from the Devil.
