Amaterasu - Japanese Mythology:
The Japanese deity Amaterasu was very strong and influential. She is well-known as the Japanese Imperial family's great ancestor who beams from the heavens. She was held in high regard and had the title "loved and beloved by all." This demonstrates her fervent devotion and esteem among all Japanese deities. She was also known as the sun Kami or the goddess who represented the sun and was the sister of the god Susanoo.


Additionally, it is commonly accepted in Japanese mythology that Amaterasu was produced from Izanagi's left eye. She was even Izanami, the first mother of humanity, who had been revived and raised from the dead.

Along with the other gods of the Japanese pantheon, Amaterasu is adored and venerated in her place of residence. Takamagahara, also referred to as the "plain of heaven," is the name of their house. Takamagahara is claimed to be joined to the earth via a suspended bridge known as the Ama-no uki-hashi.
