Physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) simulations require parameterization based on in silico, in vitro, and/or in vivo data. While in vitro data provides an attractive platform in which to ground simulations in real world measurements, mathematical models are generally required to extract relevant parameters. In this webinar, DDDPlus™, an in vitro simulation platform focused on providing predictive dissolution & precipitation tools for formulation development, will be presented in conjunction with GastroPlus™ to evaluate factors impacting in vivo performance of drug products.
Case studies from Simulations Plus and the University of Florida Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology will reveal the challenges and describe the current strategies to provide improved understanding of the dissolution/precipitation process and its translation to mechanistic absorption/PBPK models.
