Answer:
Fe + S = FeS
nFe = mFe / MMFe = 10/55.85 = 0.179 mol
nS = mS / MMs = 10/32.06 = 0.312 mol
Since the ratio of reactants is one to one, the Fe is the limiting reagent.
Therefore 0.179 mol of FeS is formed.
mFeS = nFeS x MMFeS = 0.179 x (55.85 + 32.06) = 15.736 g
