How to use the method of substitution for integrating the product of a linear radical and a polynomial. The radicand consists of a square root (or cubic root, ... ) with a linear inside it and has a polynomial multiplying it, typically x^2 or x. We see how to change the variable to u to turn the integrand into a sum of powers of u, which can then be integrated.
We see that we have two change of variables to choose from and, in this tutorial, we show how to use the first of those two options.
