Testing the Lumatek Turrican and Secret Jardin DY100 Parabolic reflectors for efficiency and spread.

The Lumatek unit is disappointing with an irregular shape and spread, high hanging height of 50cm, lower efficiency of 1.2 PPFD/Watt and high price.

The Secret Jardin is easy to build and has a good shape and light spread. The hanging height is ok at 45cm and the efficiency is excellent at 1.35 PPFD/watt.

This is higher than the previous winner, the Sun System Dominator XXXL whcih is 1.3 PPFD/Watt and much more expensive and bulky.

Both reflectors were tested with a Lumii Black 600W HPS lamp, Lumii gigatech Digitlal Ballast and 120cm x 120cm (4ft x 4ft) mylar reflective walls
