An absolutely HUUUUUUUGE lesson!.. The deepest yet to hit this channel for sure. Covering the essentials of key theory, harmony, composition and chords as we learn a hauntingly beautiful chord melody for a classic jazz standard. This particular song often overwhelms and confuses players, but my hope is that after you've worked through this lesson, you'll have a greater understanding of what's really going on under the surface, and this will in turn simplify the tune considerably!

For our chord melody we'll be applying a nice mixture of familiar shapes, as well as some fresh and exciting new options and voice-leading chordal manoeuvres.. all while remaining accessible to learn!
