Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is a type of atomic emission spectroscopy that uses a high-energy laser pulse to create a plasma, which atomizes and excites samples. The light emitted from the plasma is then collected and analyzed to identify the elements present in the sample.
