(29 Jun 2015) DALAI LAMA AT GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL
The Dalai Lama spoke to thousands of revellers about the importance of moral education at one of Europe's largest music festivals on Sunday (28 JUNE 2015).
The exiled Tibetan spiritual leader spoke on a small platform at Glastonbury Festival in the UK where a large crowd gathered despite the wet weather.
While he was on stage, the audience sang "happy birthday" in anticipation of the 79-year-old's birthday next week.
During his four-day visit to Britain, the Dalai Lama will not meet with any British government officials, according to the Dalai Lama's representative offices in Europe.
Earlier in the week, Chinese officials said it opposed any country that provided venues for the Dalai Lama to carry out "separatist activities" ahead of his festival appearance.
