On March 25th 2021, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) announced that it now recognises two distinct species of African elephants: The Forest Elephant and the Savanna Elephant.

We caught up with world renowned conservationist, Ian Redmond, to discuss what this news means to him personally and for the continued protection of Forest Elephants.
