This video is about unblocking the original Volvo multimedia system HU-655. if there is a power interruption like a battery change, the radio is going to ask you for a code. In case you dont know or dont remember the code, it is possible to retrieve it from the memory of the radio itself.
In this video I will demonstrate the consequences of entering the wrong code too many times and locking the radio, unlocking the radio to be able to enter the code again, and finally how to retrieve the stored code from the memory of the radio.
As reported by Reaper Reaper in the comments, it works on HU-555 radio as well: "...small differences, you have to press the "News" button instead of "Auto". The other one is that the blinking on F0, F1, F2 and F3 is a little bit different, but just set it to F0 and write down the digits on number 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th, AFTER F0. For example if it says F0020103040.... your code is 2134." Thx!
The locked/unlocked state of the radio stored at EEPROM F6
