In this video I cover how to restore your outboard cowling with Spray can paint. The key is the SprayMax 2k clear coat. I cover the complete steps including stripping the old decals off (that had been painted over). Links to the products I used are listed below.
The SprayMax 2k clear coat is a great product to get a successful restoration with a smooth High GLoss finish. I've found that this clear coat not only goes well over the Yamaha yamalube paint I used here but will also do well on Moeller, Duplicolor and Rustoleum paints. It seems that it will cover just about any single stage enamel paint with the proper preparation.
If you're interested in the decal company I used, you can visit them at www.outboardgraphics.com. They do excellent work at an extremely reasonable price and I am super pleased at the decals they made for me.
