Planning a weekend in Prague? Here's how to spend 3 days in Prague, Czech Republic.
Prague is such a medieval looking city and there's so much to see here, so let's start with the Prague attractions.
The Prague Castle-
You can't miss the Prague castle, it sits on the highest point in the city just across the Vltava river. There's an incredible view behind the castle that looks over the whole city. This is where the office of the President of Czech Republic resides.
Old Town Prague-
This is the heartbeat of the city and probably the most popular Prague tourist attraction. In old town you'll find street vendors, delicious Prague restaurants, and street performers. Right in the middle of the square is the Church of our Lady Before Týn and the Prague Astronomical Clock tower, two of the most iconic Prague attractions. I recommend going up the clock tower to get aerial views of old town Prague.
The Charles Bridge-
A 15th century bridge that crosses the Vltava river and one of the biggest landmarks of the city. The bridge can get crowded during the day with tourist and street vendors, so I recommended walking to the lookout tower on the bridge to learn more about its history and see more aerial views.
Prague Street Art-
If you're a Beatles fan head over to the John Lennon Wall where people pay their respect to him and his message of peace in the form of street art and graffiti. My favorite Prague attractions are the street art pieces of David Cerny, a controversial local street artist. You can find all his work on a free walking tour here- [ Ссылка ]
Prague Old Car-
When you walk through old town Prague, you'll notice many people taking horse carriage rides and cruising in the Prague old cars. The old cars are a great way to see all the Prague attractions in style throughout the city.
The Dancing house-
This bendy building is a Prague tourist attraction as well as a bar and restaurant. The best views of this building are right in front looking at the "dancing" shape and architecture, or going inside and having a cocktail at the lookout point on the patio.
Best Food in Prague-
Some of the best Czech restaurants in Prague are also the cheapest in the city. Check out The Lokál, right across the Charles Bridge for Vepro-knedlo-zelo which is roasted pork, bread or potato dumplings, cranberry and gravy - [ Ссылка ]
There are two traditional small bites you must try when you visit Prague: The Karamelový větrník, which is a caramel flavored creme puff pastry and the Trdelník which you'll see in everyone's hand! This is the cinnamon rolled pastry which can be filled with gelato, nutella, and anything else that tickles your fancy.
I think the best Czech restaurant in Prague is Peklo in the Strahovský klášter (Strahov Monastery). You need to go down in the basement to find this hidden gem. You'll find traditional local food here like dumplings and goulash but they also have 1000 year old blueberry monk beer! Check out this Prague restaurant here: [ Ссылка ]
This should keep you busy for your weekend in Prague. Take advantage of the cheap prices and give yourself at least 3 full days to eat the best food in Prague and to see all the Prague attractions.
