Our Heavenly Father, we are gathered here around the service of beauty. We ask You humbly to fill our hunger and our thirst for inspiration as composers. We ask You humbly to allow us to be servants of beauty, and servants of faith and gratefulness towards your gentle Providence, towards Your permanent solicitude, towards humanity. As you give this food to the bird that is crying in the nest, give us to us artists our daily bread of inspiration. May we always be grateful and content with what we have, and give us energy and power and confidence to work on what we receive as inspiration, and to deliver praises in the form of music that hallows Your name and elevating and building up or common humanity. And let us share it with the spirit of generosity and also with the spirit of light and of courage towards our contemporaries. We ask this, our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Lord. Amen.
