Today we're going to take a look at the Bearing Buddy chrome plated bearing protectors. This is a model 1968. This is quantity of two of them. This part will replace the grease cap in your axle hub. Helps prevent wheel bearing failure. It keeps the water and the dirt out of your hubs and your bearings.

It allows your boat trailer wheels to be completely submerged, and it'll stop corrosion and pitting on the bearings. If you notice right here, it provides this easily accessible grease zerk fitting that you put your grease gun onto to pump grease into it. It makes adding the grease to your bearings very quick and simple. It does maintain a slight controlled pressure, about 3 PSI with this spring loaded piston on the inside. That'll help prevent water from entering the hub. It does prevent over filling and rear seal damage with an automatic pressure relief feature.

Basically, when you put your grease gun on there and start pumping grease in, when you see grease seeping out around the piston edges and into the barrel, that means it's full. This part is constructed of stainless steel internal parts and a nice triple chrome plated steel barrel, so that insures longer lasting fit when compared to some of the plastic or aluminum ones out there. Does come with these rubber covers, and once you get it installed and finish filling it you can put the cover on it to protect it. They do install very easily. You just drive these into the hub in place of your grease cap. These parts are made in the USA, and again the specs on this.

This is designed to fit into a 1.968" diameter hub bore. That should do it for the review on the Bearing Buddy chrome plated bearing protectors, model 1968 for quantity of two.
