This is the second lesson of our 'Deep dive into the reef' lesson suite. The lesson explores the Magnificent Mangroves and the key link these plants play in marine ecosystems. This exciting video lesson outlines the array of important roles the often misunderstood mangroves have in supporting healthy reef systems. Local riparian zones incorporating common species of mangroves along our Boyne River provide a perfect engaging classroom. Students are set clear lesson objectives and Australian Curriculum linked tasks for students appropriate for various year levels are provided to complete.
