Terraria 1.3 update* This AFK Farm still works fine in 1.3! Just use minions (Twins, Ravens, Stardust Cell, Pirates) in the box where your character stands and they will protect you from the occasional Hallowed Mimic! Thanks!
The Rod of Discord. A 1 in 500 (0.2%) chance drop from Chaos Elementals in hardmode is a fantastic item that lets your character teleport to another location on-screen! A low drop rate and a rare mob means that AFK farming the Rod of Discord is a very attractive alternative. This easy to setup farm will effectively churn through Hallow mobs and get you your own Rod of Discord in no time! It also farms mimics easily! Enjoy :)
