Satluj River or River Satluj also written Satlaj Darya or Satlaj Nadi is one of the Five rivers of Punjab. Its the eastern most tributary of India River system. It enters in Pakistan near Kasur and then follwed by Sulemanki Headworks or Sulemanki Barrage in Bahawalnagar district. It meets with River Beyas near Maujgarh India and other river of Punjab at Panjanad Headworks near Bahawalpur. India has built Bhakra Dam over it as it belongs to India as per Indus Water treaty. Bhakra dam is a disputed Dam.
It used to be the part of Ghaggar River system and used to merge with Ghagar River for discharge in Arabian Sea but later moved to north and merged with River Beyas. Now it is part of Indus River system.
