Phonological awareness is the human brain’s implicit or explicit sensitivity to the way sounds combine to form words, sentences, and language. Some people naturally understand (implicit) phonemic awareness without knowing phonological awareness concepts. Others must be taught (explicit) phonological concepts to benefit from them.
During our two-part series, Executive Director Jennifer Hasser, M.Ed., discusses phonological awareness and strategies for helping students develop this critical learning skill. Watch Part 2 here: [ Ссылка ]
