German Navy Zeppelin LZ 45 (L 13) dropped an explosive outside ‘The Dolphin’ public house at the corner of Lambs Conduit Passage and Red Lion Street. The explosion started a fire that took out London Fireman J.S. Green. Through his actions 22 lives were saved. A huge crowd turned out for his funeral. Members of the London Fire Brigade (LFB) lined the street.
