Welcome to yet another repair video on the my VERY rusty VW T4 van!
In this video I tackle the drivers side step, the inner sill, outer sill, and also the main jacking point. This is quite a common place for the T4 vans to rot and I think the reason is because of the factory fitted expanding foam inside the sill trapping moisture and causing the panels to rot from the inside out.
You can get repair panels for the step quite easily but I decided just to patch mine up with some sheet metal offcuts I had laying around in an attempt to keep this restoration as low budget as possible.
