We're headed into the Jungle with our Toyota Tacoma and Four wheel camper Eagle in beautiful Chiapas Mexico.

Our first stop is in Tuxla Gutierrez, Where we spend the night in front of the national park.
We drive the Sumidero Canyon and it is breath taking.

We make our way through beautiful Mountain passes and stop for the night at on the North side of the Cañon del Sumidero.
There is a breathtaking Statue that cought our eye by surprise.
Monumento de Trabajadores de CFE is a statue of electricians and it's size is massive.
We keep driving through mountain routes on our way to San Cristobal de las casas and we are in love.
Not only are the temperatures amazing, nicely cool. But the city of San Cristobal is a great place to visit. The right amount of hippies and expats. But also a lot of locals and indigenous people that are still wearing their traditional clothing.

El Chiflon was our next destination. this massive waterfall comes in 6levels and is amazing! We spend the night on the parking lot, where you can camp comfortably, to be the first at the waterfall in the morning.
and it worked! For a While we where the only ones there, only some staff that we run into.
We move on to a nearby Cenote Chucumaltik and a free ruin Chincultik.

We finally made it to Lagos de Montebello. Such a beautiful national park. We drive every road they have and find small mountain villages. But the most beautiful of all are the lakes.

Lago Tziscao is the largest of the lakes with a village nearby. Other lakes include Montebello, La Cañada, Pojoj, and a group of five lakes known as the Lagunas de Colores (Lakes of Colors: Encantada, Ensueño, Esmeralda, Agua Tinta, and Bosque Azul).
