Here's a quick test just to see how the video quality is. It was raining and I was bored lol. Plus the GoPro has a water proof case so I said what the heck lets fly!
I swapped to a better Futaba roll servo for the camera mount, but didn't realize the roll servo was reversed so I had to disconnect it for the flight. Not bad for no stabilization. The rubber dampners are too soft so there is quite a bit of shakes at times. I need to find a good balance for the camera weight distribution to even out the camera CG. This should help it a little.
GoPro Hero 3 setting was 1080p 60fps Wide
The fish eye effect is not too bad compared to the Hero 2. I'm still messing around with different setting at the moment, but this is just one of them to get an idea how the aerial footage will look. Not bad in my opinion and I would say the Hero 3 is better than the Hero 2!
Time to go re-flash the multiwii board and reverse the camera gimble roll servo movement :)
