Chennai: Rajiv Gandhi assasination case convict Perarivalan's mother Arputhammal demanded mercy killing of her son following the rejection of Tamil Nadu government's plea to release seven Rajiv Gandhi assassination convicts by President Ram Nath Kovind. Arputhammal said, "We don't want this life anymore. I am planning to petition the Central and the state governments to kill us. I am going to do that. Please do mercy killing of my son," she said. She told Mathrubhumi news that she will continue with her legal battle. The Supreme court is expected to consider the case next month and that's the last hope. But here also the central government's decision will be crucial.
