The way we relate to the idea of religion will necessarily be different because we have various starting points. People should search deeper about their own religion and come up with a better understanding regarding people of other religion/no religion. The Hindu religion teaches that every individual should get better knowledge about their own tradition and come with a better idea regarding people of other religion and no religion. If pluralism can solve problem to learning to live with each other in an honest manner and giving dignity to every faith without compromising them then you should do it. Therefore, when it is necessary then you should stand up for your religion whether you are a Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist and so on.
