There were reports of the pixel 6 Pro overheating and when the pixel 7 Pro and the Pixel 7 were announced people were expecting for the Pixel 7 Pro to overheat like the pixel 6 Pro did. But it seems as if the Google Pixel 7 Pro has not encountered any issues with overheating and Google fixed the issues they had with overheating in the pixel 6 Pro. I decided to do a real world throttling test of the pixel 7 Pro which involved recording the highest quality video for 5 minutes stabilizing that video which is extremely processor intensive and then running a series of benchmarks back to back to back. I chose to use geekbench 5 as the benchmark for testing the Google pixel 7. Pros performance and thermal limitations. In my benchmark testing of the Google pixel 7 Pro. The Google pixel 7 Pro did not overheat and did not thermal throttle. I was expecting for the Google pixel 7 Pro to throttle like the Google pixel 6 Pro throttled but the Google pixel 7 Pro exceeded my expectations. I think this is going to be my new real world way of testing the thermal performance of Google pixel devices. Since Google pixel devices are not gaming devices and less or more susceptible to thermal throttling. What it would not be acceptable is for a Google pixel device to overheat while recording or editing video.
