Lithuanian Authorities have destroyed more that 700 kilograms of hashish, an amount which officers claim is the biggest seized in country's history.
Hashish was seized at the Lavoriskes checkpoint on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border in May.
Some 768 kg of hash oil were hidden aboard a truck behind vegetables and fruit. The driver, a Lithuanian national, has been detained. Later, seven more suspects were detained.
The rough value of the drugs on the black market is almost 7 million Euros.
It was destroyed in a furnace in factory near Kaunas. The hashish was accompanied to the factory by officials.
The authorities believe that the drugs came from Marroco or Spain andwere bound to reach Russian market.
