Welcome to the Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR)! Here Pat from PatsPlatesPV shows you where to catch a ride share (Über, Didi or In Drive.) Because the airport is a federal Zone, you can only catch an airport taxi from the airport which is typically two or three times the cost of a regular city taxi. Exit left out of the airport towards the highway and crossed the pedestrian bridge to catch a ride share that will take you out of town or into town. They CANNOT pick you up from the airport side of the pedestrian bridge.

Another great option is to take the bus! Buses at the bus stop on the airport side of the bridge will take you downtown (marked "Centro") or to old town/zona romantica (marked "túnel".)

Different buses head north of town from ACROSS the highway from the airport. For Nuevo Vallarta, Bucerias, La Cruz, Punta de Mita catch the "ATM" bus that has your destination on the windshield.

For Bucerias, Sayulita, San Pancho Lo de Marcos or Guayabitos, catch the "Compostela" Bus with your destination on your windshield. If you are traveling past salita, you may need to take the Sayulita bus and then transfer at the bus depot there to points farther north. Beyond that you'll need to head to the PV bus terminal instead for the fastest route.
