C1790 Longcase Clock with a unusual Escapement & centre Seconds, my opinion on the case & the tell tale signs a Grandfather Clock is a marriage. This is the 1st of a few videos I’m going to do highlighting possible signs of a clock marriage, this is not to say this is always a bad thing as like in life there are some bad marriages that should not have happened & some that are a very good marriage, always appreciate many of these clocks have been around for a few hundred years been through a few wars moved house many many times & everything in between so don’t dismiss these clocks in my opinion they are still a thing of beauty & often a work of art.
