Hi, my name is Roland. I am the owner of The Hillside Pranburi Resort in Thailand. Our goal is to make this place as sustainable as possible. For me as an electrical engineer, that means to make our resort as energy independent as possible. That's why I have started my latest project, to build an "AC-Powerwall" (=Battery system without direct connection to a PV-system). Please join me and follow this project, which will be a great engineering experience. Thanks
The project is about planning and building of the whole system, including Arduino programming!
In Episode 5, we will test if we can use my existing Eastron X835 Smart Meter instead the SDM120, for bi-directional metering via Modbus.

His code is written to lead out a bunch of data points, while my code is purely written to read out
bi-directional active power correctly. Please use the register list from the link below.
In Thailand we can only use AliExpress to buy special devices, so here is a Link to the Eastron seller:

Here are the Links to my Arduino code and libraries. Please copy files into the respective folders from your Arduino IDE:
Create a Folder AC-Powerwall under your main Arduino Folder and copy
the AC-Powerwall.ino into it.

Create a Folder Modbus-Energy-Monitor-Arduino within your libraries Folder and copy the ModbusSensor.h file there.

Please note that the AC-Powerwall.ino code requires several other libraries which may vary by modules you are using!
If you want me to send you Arduino files and libraries, documentation, etc, please send me an inquiry e-mail to the address shown in the last part of the video. People on the mailing list, can receive the latest AC-Powerwall.ino file as soon it is available. Thx
