Today 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley was out working The Welsh Marches Express which was running from Hugh Wycombe - Shrewsbury and return. The train was diesel hauled to Bristol Temple Meads where Sir Nigel Gresley was attached to take the train onto Shrewsbury.
We went out to see 60007, I had missed its first run down this route this year, and the previous one it was replaced by 46100 due to a problem with 60007. For this we went out to Craven Arms to see the tour, We had considered Leominster, but Craven Arms was closer and quicker for us to get to. It was nice to see the A4, not really got any chance of seeing 60007 down my neck of the woods this year as LSL aren't running any steam hauled trips running through the Midlands like they have done before. Hopefully this will change next year..... I hope. So we have had to go out to travel to see her, but was nice to go somewhere new and different.
There are 2 clips included in this video, the first shot was filmed by me, the second shot was filmed by dad on the other platform.
