Shimoga MP BS Yeddyurappa will contest the assembly elections from Shikaripur constituency. He is the BJP's BJP president and is the party's chief ministerial candidate for 2018 elections.
BS Yeddyurappa, who has faced eight elections in Shikaripura, lost only once. In the 2013 elections, KJP contested as a candidate and won by a margin of 24,425 votes.
