The 1 Rupee Coins were released as Nirtya or Hasta Mudra Series during 2007-2011 from Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Noida Mints.

The coins were made of  ferritic stainless steel weighing 4.85 grams with 25 mm diameter and circular in shape.

On the Obverse, Ashoka Lion Capital with lettering भारत INDIA सत्यमेव जयते and Date Below. At the reverse, Part of the Nirtya or Hasta Mudra thumb up finger as used in Indian Bhartanatyam dance with denomination and lettering 1 रुपया RUPEE.

The 2007 Hyderabad Mint coin and 2011 Calcutta Mint coin are considered as scarce valued approx Rs 25. Rest all the coins are considered as common and numismatic value is approx Rs 5 in UNC condition.
