Victoria Falls is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world, located on the Zambezi River between Zambia and Zimbabwe in southern Africa. Known as "Mosi-oa-Tunya" in the local Tonga language, which means "The Smoke That Thunders," the falls are famous for their breathtaking beauty and powerful cascades.
The falls stretch over 1,700 meters (5,600 feet) wide and plunge around 108 meters (354 feet) into a deep gorge, creating a magnificent display of mist and spray that can be seen from miles away. The spray rises hundreds of meters into the air, giving the falls their nickname.
