Any wireless system will have the need to utilize an RF filter or multiple filters. There are several different types of filters which can be used to block energy at certain frequencies and allow energy through at the desired frequencies. These filters are often constructed as part of the circuit design on a high frequency PCB and they have many different issues to consider. This tutorial gives a simple overview of PCB based RF filters with some common filter designs and a few different configurations.
