Wonderful place for outing near Varanasi..It takes only 2-2.5 hrs journey from Varanasi..The waterfalls is awesome,both for bathing and its scenic beauty..It is the most famous picnic spot for BHU students,just like a paradise for them..If you are planning to go there,get ready for bathing in the cool water..but the place is somewhat risky,water flows very fast here,so be careful..but don't worry too much..just go and have fun..
The Rajdari and Devdari waterfalls are found in the Chandraprabha Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary was established to conserve Asiatic lions and though their population has dwindled, there are several species of animals and birds that live here. Apart from the animals and birds, the sanctuary is home to several other attractions, more notably the Rajdari and Devdari waterfalls. The crystal clear waters, gurgling over the rocks present a breathtaking sight. The scenic, tranquil surroundings lend a sense of mysticism to the experience. The sanctuary is accessible from Varanasi; it is about 75 kilometres from the city. People usually come here for a day trip and though there is no accommodation here, there are several eateries here to serve snacks and drinks.
A picnic spot has been set up by the government close to the waterbody, which is a popular destination for the picnickers and the tourists. DevDari, another popular waterfall is located approximately 500 meters in the downstream side of the Rajdari Waterfall.
राजदारी और देवदारी झरनें चंद्रप्रभा वन्य अभयारण्य में हैं । इसकी स्थापना एशियाई शेरों के संरक्षण के लिए की गई थी जिनकी संख्या काफी कम हो गई है । यहाँ पशुओं और पक्षियों की कई प्रजातियाँ पाई जाती हैं। पशुओं और पक्षियों के अलावा कई आकर्षण हैं विशेषकर राजदारी और देवदारी झरनें। चट्टानों के ऊपर कल - कल करता एकदम साफ़ और पारदर्शक पानी बहुत लुभावना द्रश्य प्रस्तुत करता है। सुंदर और शांत वातावरण वाली यह जगह अनुभव को नया रहस्य प्रदान करती है। इस अभयारण्य तक वाराणसी से आसानी से पहुंचा जा सकता है- यह शहर से 75 किमी है। चूँकि यहाँ कोई रहने की सुविधा नहीं है इसलिए लोग यहाँ एक दिन की यात्रा के लिए आते हैं, यहाँ कई भोजनालय है जहाँ से स्नैक्स और ड्रिंक्स आसानी से मिल जाते हैं।
राजधारी और देवदारी, दोनों ही झरने उत्तर प्रदेश की चंद्र प्रभा वन्यजीव अभयारण्य में स्थित है। इन दोनों में से, राजधारी झरना 65 मीटर ऊंचाई से गिरता है जो इस सेंचुरी में सबसे ऊंचाई से गिरने वाला झरना है। यह एक स्टेप्ड झरना है जो चारों तरफ से हरे - भरे जंगलों से घिरा हुआ है। इस पानी स्त्रोत के पास, एक पिकनिक स्पॉट को सरकार के द्वारा बनवाया गया है जो यहां आने वाले पर्यटकों और पिकनिक मनाने वालों के लिए एक प्रसिद्ध स्थल है। देवदारी यहां का अन्य झरना है जो राजधारी झरने से 500 मीटर नीचे की ओर स्थित है। राजधारी और देवदारी झरने एक जलाशय के रूप में बदल चुके हैं, यहां से एक किलोमीटर की दूरी पर जंगल में ठीक इसी नाम से चंद्र प्रभा बांध बना दिया गया। सर्दियों और वंसत के मौसम में यह झरना, पर्यटकों को खासा आकर्षित करता है।
