SEVEN CITIES SUMMERFEST presents "TRICKS and TREATS" on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27th from 1pm-8pm at SHAKAS (2014 atlantic ave, va bch VA 23451). "TRICKS and TREATS" hosted by GUERILLA WILL is an all day event showcasing the areas and nations dopest talent in a $1,000 1vs1 BBOY BATTLE ft a DJ/DRUMSET collabo w/ DJ MORDECAI and FORTE on drums, a $500 DJ BATTLE and $300 ART BATTLE in which the artists will be painting LIVE on blank skateboard decks. Along with these battles we will also have a performance by "THE FLYING GINZU BROTHERS", PLENTY of VENDORS, FREE GIVEAWAYS all day long and MUCH MUCH MORE!!!! This event is not only a putting a spot light on the local scene here but this is also a FUNDRAISER for B.ILL (x-fenz/ny), a fellow bboy who unexpectedly passed away. If you consider yourself a hip-hop head a fan of local talent or just like to see shit you cant do, then this is the event for you!!!!! PLEASE READ the following outline of the days events to ensure you dont miss a thing!!!!!

$1,000 BBOY BATTLE
Due to time restrictions all BBOYS/BGIRLS need to be at the event and signed up NO LATER than 2pm. If more than 50 dancers sign up there will be an opening qualifying round, meaning, ALL BBOYS/BGIRLS will be randomly called out to throw down ONE SET, judges will then tally scores of each dancer and the top 32 will move on to 1vs1 battle. The winner of the bboy battle will recieve $1,000 CASH a DOPE TROPHY, HUGE PRIZE PACK courtesy of our sponsors and A PERSONAL VIDEO courtesy of BLOCKHEADS MEDIA!!!!!!
JUDGES- MEEN187(dynamic rockers/ny) SAMO(x-fenz/ny) DOOM(703/va) all judges will be scoring based on a 1-100 point scale in 5 catergories (UPROCK/TOPS, FOOTWORK, POWER, BLOWUPS and OVERALL PRESENCE). All judges will tally up scores and announce top 32 advancing to the 1vs1 rounds selected by random drawing.

DJ BATTLE
All competing DJs need to be at the venue and signed up NO LATER than 1pm. If you plan on competing you must bring your own setup and chords (1/4 inch or XLR cables). ONLY taking 16 DJs so sign ups will be held on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Battle will be broken down into 4 heats of 4 allowing each DJ to rock for no more than 6 minutes. Each judge will be scoring based on a 1-100 point scale system in 5 catergories (mixing/transitions, scratching, stage presence, creativity, originality). Each heat winner will then compete in the finals for the $500 CASH, TROPHY, PRIZE PACK and a PERSONAL VIDEO courtesy of BLOCKHEADS MEDIA.....757 HAS MORE "DJs" THAN ANY OTHER PLACE IVE BEEN TO, with that said its time for all of you to PUT UP or SHUT UP!!!! Lets see whos really got the skills around here to call themselves a TRUE DJ!!!

ART BATTLE
All competing artists must be at the venue and signed up NO LATER than 2pm and will recieve a blank skate deck from event coordinator upon registration. Artist will paint live at event from 3pm-5pm on blank skatboard decks using ANY MEANS necessary (aerosol, latex, marker etc..) to complete the boards. All completed decks will be on display open for crowd judging by way of ballot (judged on art not artist) from 5pm until 6pm with the winner being announced at 7pm. Winner will recieve $300 CASH, DOPE TROPHY and prize pack also all artists keep their deck!!
