Just a quick warning about a potential fire risk where the interference filter/suppressor capacitor can fail and cause a fire inside the appliance. Note the risk is probably greater for older machines due to stresses over time.
I believe this is a different component from what was subject to a previous fire safety recall (main control board).
Ultimately this just goes to show that tumble dryers shouldn't be left to run unattended just in case!
