Had a subscriber ask me if I knew what it would look like if minnows were around and thought be good idea to try so here's a quick video of this Garmin Striker Cast GPS scanning with minnows under it inside a garbage can.
The fat heads and crappies minnows for the most part just showed up as very light faint blue lines and sometimes some fat heads would register as a mark but it was the medium sucker minnows that did show up pretty good as long as they were pretty much centered under the the device.
Reminder this is a near $200 portable
Sonar so the target separation will be pretty poor in my opinion even $400 plus ice Sonars barely do a good job of separating small fish also so something to keep in mind about this
