In the Avatar short story, as the fight between Toph and Bumi begins, they both show off their mastery of earthbending as Sokka cheers them both on
The fight continues with Bumi going on the offensive and the noise attracts Katara who is furious with Sokka for letting this happen
Toph and Bumi continue to insult each other while fighting and cause a rockalanche that disturbs the rest of the White Lotus in their tents, including Zuko and Uncle Iroh
They wonder if they are under attack by the fire nation and Zuko goes to investigate
Only to find out about the fight between the young and the old as Iroh cheers for Bumi to come out on top
The rest of the White Lotus think a bending battle might gave away their location so Sokka bangs on the bell, announcing the end of the battle but no one pays him any attention
The White Lotus take it into their own hands and stop the fight as Zuko restrains Toph and Katara and Pakku create some smoke to distract Bumi
When Suki asks who won, Sokka announces that this could only be a draw and they would have a rematch later on, to which Toph and Bumi express their excitement

The world is divided into four nations -- the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and the Air Nomads -- each represented by a natural element for which the nation is named. Benders have the ability to control and manipulate the element from their nation. Only the Avatar is the master of all four elements. The ruthless Fire Nation wants to conquer the world but the only bender who has enough power, the Avatar, has disappeared ... until now. His tribe soon discovers that Aang is the long-lost Avatar. Now Katara and Sokka must safeguard Aang on his journey to master all four elements and save the world from the Fire Nation.
