I’m Will Jones. This is “DPS News Now.”
This week, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for Bear Valley International School’s new STEM lab.
This STEM lab… short for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics… is a major upgrade for these students thanks to the Western Area Power Administration’s Electric Power Training Center.
This equipment will help the school to expand its STEM lab and give students more opportunities to see the application of STEM in the electric utility industry.
Students at Denver South and George Washington High Schools teamed up for some community service.
The Denver Club of Humanities… a student organization at both schools… put together Care Kits for those in need within our community. Each kit contained ítems like… toiletries… snacks… and drinks.
Students delivered the kits to the homeless as a way of making the holiday season a bit more merry.
Thanks for watching. And, Happy Holidays!
