On August 31, 2017, the 1920 Transport Truck left the "Transport Truck Company" factory (now the Commerce Center) in Mt. Pleasant on its journey to temporary storage at the Museum of Cultural and Natural History. While there, the truck was maintained and cleaned by students and faculty of the CMU Museum Studies, Public History, and Cultural Resource Management Programs in preparation for its official acceptance ceremony on September 18, 2017.
