Here is my bike rack I made inside of my suv. Simply made out of a 2x4 and fork mount. I made an instructable on it about a year ago using different parts other than the fork mount you see now. But obviously I gave in and got the fork mount.

The zip ties look ghetto, but it's tied down to my hooks bolted into the body itself. It stays put. The hooks are also what prevents the wood from sliding forward.
