Svara Samsara is Rumah Kahanan’s percussion group of five young, talented Indonesian musicians with different cultural backgrounds: Agay Soemantri, Kate Rahmat, Kaunang Bungsu Supratman, Gihon Siahaya and Ronal Lisand. Two of them were pupils of legendary drummer, percussionist and composer Innisisri. These musicians continue the exploration of traditional percussion instruments and music cultures in Indonesia and expand the work started by Innisisri in 1994.

For their compositions Svara Samsara uses a variety of traditional Indonesian instruments, including:
- Talempong, a brass idiophonic instrument from Minangkabau, West Sumatera,
- Sarunai and Saluang, wind instruments from Mingangkabau, West Sumatera.
- Taganing, a drum chime from Batak, Northern Sumatera.
- Rebana Hadrah, a tambourine like instrument from Banyuwangi, East Java.
- Kancil, a bamboo melodic instrument belonging to the Jegog orchestra from Bali.
- Rindik a bamboo melodic instrument from Bali.
- Jidor and Kendang, membranophone instruments from Java.
- Suling, a bamboo flute.
These Indonesian instruments are combined with modern and traditional drum and percussion instruments from all over the world. All the compositions are created by the group, individually and collectively.
The group was formed early 2015 and released their first album
"Svara Samsara" in February 2016 (available on iTunes).
They performed on the Jogja Percussion Festival, Indonesia Drum & Perkusi Festival and the international Asia Tri Festival. The group also was the opening act for Darman Merdeka’s Udara Kata tour 2015 and they played on the closing night of the GMB Youth Adventure and Youth Leaders Forum 2015 and on various other occasions.
Besides performances, Svara Samsara conducts percussion workshops for schools, companies and NGO's and master classes for musicians and music students.
