Todd's Maintenance Breakdown Email:
"So i went full macgyver last night, disassembled the entire T7 down the 'boards'.
Very simple, not a single 'trick' i just went slow and it all seems to have worked now that I've returned it to the tent (also installed a new usb uis cable) adding full 69Pro functionality.
-emptied lower tank of t7 after a full vinegar bath (2cups, 20min soak/rinse)
-removed single visible screw, long screwdriver needed on bottom of the unit
-removed 4screws/wheel and beneath each wheel is an additional screw like the first long one, remove these (5 total longer than the wheel caster screws)
-removed the exhaust intake 'door' by gently depressing the sides until free. the entire lower portion is easily detached and cleaned with vinegar and soap/water.
at this point i could remove the board that interfaces with the additional boards, by taking two screws off, disconnecting the two serial cables which correspond with the USBc and rh/temp sensor ports and then sliding out towards the center of the unit. i applied liberal amount of de-oxit, using a heavy-duty paper towel and small electronic plunger to get the papertowel fully inside the usbc port. used toothpick to dislodge any corrosion or buildup from the original spill-over.
final inspection with a microscope and a small can of compressed air + ISO qtips to futher clean the port. i did not apply any ISO directly to any parts, for fear of breaking down any plastic/rubber parts.
all is working well, thanks again for the nudge to tackle it fully.
IMO, you are probably positioned to take on this repair work for ACI and save them a lot of headache, if you have the capacity within your staff to address these faulty units. I know I woulda paid you ~$40 to bring the unit(s) back to life, assuming I could get the lower portion to you economically. just planting that seed, it does not take any technical knowhow other than proper steps and future disregard to warranty claims i guess."
