Charlie Albright headlines our 75th Anniversary season opener playing Shostakovich’s uncharacteristically whimsical Piano Concerto No. 2. Tchaikovsky’s passionate Symphony No. 6 is the composer’s final symphony and is regarded as one of the defining works of the Romantic era. Patrice Rushen’s Color Express brings comfort and hope to those who suffered hardship and loss from the COVID-19 pandemic.
