Back in the day, if you wanted a good guitar, but didn't have a lot of money, Fender would offer you the Mustang and Gibson the Melody Maker. Today, they represent the more affordable side of vintage guitars from the big G and F. So how do these vintage student guitars compare?
I think either of them would make you very happy - they have that real vintage feel and character, and they both sound great. They are quite different though, so which one would work better for you depends on how you'd use it.
