Refilling 9kg gas bottles in Sydney Australia. The attendants look at the time when they start the filling. They know how long it takes to reach 5 to 6 kg then they use their screwdriver to start touching and pushing the valve. Commonly known as "Jiggling". The valve then opens prematurely giving the indication the bottle is full. I have weighed the empty bottles numerous times and then weighed them after filling. They range between 5 and 6kg rarely are they filled. The minimum fill is 8.5kg. I'm surprised this guy did it while I was filming. He had just finished his shift and I had parked his car in so he was in a hurry to leave. ( hence the backpack). They asked me to pay upfront, then asked again while he was filling. I told him i would pay once he was finished. I just filmed and voiced my protest at him touching the valve. I paid for both bottles the first one was 2kg short. I know some people will say I shouldn't have paid but the law here is not clear. Just want people to be aware of this SCAM. It's mostly the servos offering cheap refills that do this.
