I walk you through some of the repairs we make to this old asphalt flat roof in Wembley London.
We are going to cover the roof with a new liquid roofing system called GacoRoof its a silicon based roofing system designed to go over the top of old flat roofs, one of the advantages of the system is that it is snow white when finished so it keeps the roof cool in the summer. The reason we are using a liquid system on this roof is because of the details to the parapet walls, a sheet materials such as EPDM sarnafil or any single ply would have to be cut and joined and would look like a patchwork quiet by the time we have finished, the liquid roofing system not only has no joins but when we remove the scaffolding from the roof we will just apply some more of the system to these areas and the roof will be completely seamless.
